I couldn't agree with Matt more. This entire presentation I can only describe as alarming. I have been editing since I was in high school in 94-98. I've been editing and color correcting professionally here in Los Angeles now for 6 years. It's very clear this new direction for FCP abandons professionals completely. Other than it finally being a 64 bit system, I don't see any of these other features such as the organization tools, and the magnetic timeline adding anything to how I edit. Organizing the project for any real editor is a chance to see what your dealing with. It's not something you want done for you because it's a part of the creative process. It's also as if this guy has never heard of match framing. Also, I don't know I never had a problem with things being in sync. And no professionals really do their color correction in FCP any, they would go to Color or a Da Vinci, or some application/tool thats built for that. This is really sad, I will also be switching to Avid, and I never thought I would say that.

Hello

This is a bit of a boring technical question - okay - very boring.

I am interested that you are useing the Hyundai W240s, have you tried feeding a stereo signal into the HDMI port of it? Whether it be side by side, up down, or 3D Blu-Ray Frame sequential.

We would like to deploy one with Aja's Hi5-3D box and two EX3s feeding HD-SDIs.

I appreciate you are not Hyundai Tech support - unfortunately they try not to be too!

THANKS

Phil

Thanks for posting this video...I loved watching it! Makes me realize how many friendships I've made while making movies, and how many more are yet to come. It's always sad to see a creative collaborator like Sally go, but I think she's immortalized in the films she's worked on, and left a lasting impression on the way we felt when we first watched those films.
